Overview
Teaching young children means making a hundred decisions a minute. When do I step in? When do I let them work it out? In these moments, there is no one beside you to guide you and help with the back and forth, the questions, the responses—until now.
The Supporting Attachment, Behavior, and Ongoing Learning (SABOL) Vision Lab seeks to integrate artificial intelligence and wearable technology to provide real-time guidance for early childhood educators.
The Need
Early childhood educators have a systemic lack of access to coaching and professional development. This innovative integration will deploy AI in service to these educators, providing real-time support in everyday interactions with children.
Embedding this guidance right into an educator’s day will reduce burnout, improve instructional quality, and expand access to professional development without adding more to the already-full plates of these professionals.
How It Works
SABOL Vision Lab’s pioneering project will consist of an AI-powered suite of tools designed specifically for early childhood educators. They will receive real-time coaching aligned with Cultivate Learning’s best-in-class educational research in child development, behavioral guidance, and instructional interactions.
As an educator interacts with children individually or in groups, they’ll receive advice aimed at improving each child’s educational experience. The technology will function like a coach there alongside the educator in each moment.
What’s Next
The team is working hard on developing these innovations and can’t wait to see the positive impacts they have on the early childhood education field.
